Official site: replit.com Free tier: Yes Open source: No Platforms: Web, Desktop, Mobile
Last verified: Oct 15, 2026 Last tested: Not yet, hands-on test pending
⚠ Preliminary, based on public research, hands-on test pending. These scores come from a desk review of public sources (official pricing pages, docs, changelogs), linked on each tool page. Rex hasn't run the hands-on tests yet, so tiers shown are projected. Under our rubric, a tool's official tier is capped at B until it's tested.

What looks good

  • Everything in one place: editor, database, hosting, deploys
  • Free Mode lets Core/Pro users do everyday Agent work without spending credits
  • Budget limits and confirm-before-paid-action controls

Watch-outs

  • Effort-based pricing for paid modes makes cost per task hard to predict
  • Core credits don't roll over
  • Starter only allows one published app, which expires after 30 days

From public sources below, not from our own hands-on testing (yet).

Scores

Replit adds Claude Haiku 5.5 and Bring Your Own Cloud

Core and Pro builders can pick Claude Haiku 5.5 in Power Mode, a day after Replit made OpenAI models the Agent default. Enterprises get Bring Your Own Cloud options (full platform in private preview, published-app hosting and image exports in early access), plus a new Solutions Partners directory. Source

Replit Agent makes OpenAI models the default

CEO Amjad Masad said at TechCrunch Disrupt that OpenAI is now Replit's preferred partner, with OpenAI models the default for Replit Agent, citing cost, partnership and performance. Claude models can still be picked, and a person familiar with the Anthropic partnership told TechCrunch it is still in place. Source
